The Magick Cauldron (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a pagan, metaphysical and Renaissance festival supply store located at 2424 Montrose Blvd., Houston, TX 77006. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, www.magickcauldron.com (the “Site”), and in connection with our store, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

• Orders: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number and the items you buy.
• Accounts: if you create an account, your login details, saved addresses and order history.
• Contact form and messages: your name, email address, phone number and anything you write to us, such as special-order requests or questions about readings and classes.
• Gift cards: recipient names, email addresses and messages you enter when sending a gift card.

Information collected automatically

• Your IP address, browser and device type, pages you visit, the site that referred you and the time you spent on the Site.
• Information stored in cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5).
• If you enter your email address at checkout but don’t finish your order, the contents of your cart and that email address (see Section 5).

3. Payments

Online payments are processed by PayPal. When you pay, your card or PayPal account details go directly to PayPal and are handled under PayPal’s privacy statement. We do not receive or store your full card number.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To process, ship and deliver your orders, including worldwide shipping.
• To answer your questions, handle special orders, and schedule tarot readings and classes.
• To send order confirmations, shipping updates and other service emails.
• To send a reminder if you leave items in your cart, and occasional store news if you’ve asked to hear from us. Every marketing email includes a way to unsubscribe.
• To understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it.
• To show our ads to people who have visited the Site.
• To prevent fraud, keep the Site secure and meet our legal and tax obligations.

5. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use:

• Essential cookies that keep your cart, checkout and account working. The store cannot function without them.
• Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, which tell us how visitors find and use the Site. Google’s use of this data is described at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Advertising cookies from an advertising partner whose tag runs on the Site. It lets us measure our ads and show them to people who have visited the Site on other websites.
• Cart reminders: if you type your email address at checkout and leave without ordering, we may save it with your cart and send you a reminder email.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, the cart and checkout will not work. You can also limit interest-based ads through your device settings or at optout.aboutads.info.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with companies that help us run the store, and only as needed for them to do that work:

• Payment processors (PayPal).
• Shipping carriers that deliver your orders.
• Our website host and email delivery services.
• Analytics and advertising partners, as described in Section 5.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep order records as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes. Contact form messages and cart-reminder data are kept only as long as they’re useful for answering you or completing your order. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

8. Your Choices and Rights

• You can view and update your account details by logging in to My Account.
• You can ask us to give you a copy of, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
• You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
• Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under local law. We will honor requests as required by the laws that apply to us.

To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 13. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.

9. Security

The Site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit who can see customer information. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Links to Other Websites

The Site links to other sites, such as our social media pages, Google Maps and PayPal. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
