The Witches God - Janet & Stewart Farrar
Exploring the Masculine Principle of Divinity, this companion volume to
The Witches' Goddess re-establishes the ancient balance between God and
Goddess. Part I covers the many concepts of the God examined, including: His
faces throughout history; the Son/Lover God; the Vegetation God; the War
God; the Anti-God; and more. Part II gives a close look at 12 individual
gods of history with an appropriate invoking ritual for each. Part III
presents a comprehensive dictionary of over 1000 gods from many world
cultures, past and present. The Farrars are among the best-known authors on
the Craft, and in The Witches' God have written what is likely to become the
standard work on the masculine god aspect. |

Progressive Witchcraft - Janet Farrar & Gavin Bone
This is the most radical work to date by Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone,
arguably the world's leading experts on the subject of Modern Witchcraft and
the Neo-Pagan movement. It is nothing less than their detailed analysis of
the way Witchcraft has evolved into the worldwide religion that it is
today...and their vision of its future. The authors do not create or endorse
a specific Witchcraft tradition, but rather identify a system that is at the
root of all of the existing paths within Witchcraft. They show how Wicca is
a modern, non-dogmatic dynamic tradition still in a state of evolution-a
Priesthood based on connection with the Divine and service to humanity. Here
is a book for anyone interested in Wicca, from seekers just beginning on the
path of the Old Ways to those thirsting for more knowledge about its inner
practices. |

Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs - Scott
Cunningham
This is the most carefully researched compendium of pagan herbal lore
I've ever found. He has everything in here from the botanicals themselves to
astrological correspondences to powers attributed to the plants and their
parts. And to his credit, he has appendices in this book to cross-reference
all of the information contained in the encyclopedic body of the book. His
bibliography is also very valuable as he gives astute advice and
observations on some of these resources, such as the Golden Bough ("Take
with a large grain of salt"). I still refer to this book regularly and I've
had it 10 yrs now. Excellent scholarship and of interest whether you are
pagan or not, whether you are Wicca or Witch (and thank you, Scott, for
giving us the difference between Wiccans and Witches in your glossary). Mr.
Cunningham left us a wonderful legacy of practical pagan resources in his
books. |

Cunninghams classic introduction to Wicca is about how to live life magically, spiritually, and wholly attuned with nature. It is a book of sense and common sense, not only about magick, but about religion and one of the most critical issues of today: how to achieve the much needed and wholesome relationship with our Earth. Cunningham presents Wicca as it is today: a gentle, Earth-oriented religion dedicated to the Goddess and God. Wicca also includes Scott Cunninghams own Book of Shadows and updated appendices of periodicals and occult suppliers. |

Here is the first real look at the facts about Witchcraft and the religion of Wicca. For centuries, organized religions have perpetrated lies about the ancient practice of Witchcraft, and to this day many misinformed people think Wicca involves worship of the Devil, sex orgies, and drug use. It just isn't so! As Cunningham plainly states, the practice of magic is not supernatural or Satanic. Witches and folk magicians are only utilizing, through timeless rituals, natural energies found within the Earth and our bodies to enrich life by creating positive change.

The Ultimate Book of Shadows for the New Generation
This book has everything a teen Witch could want and need between two covers: a magickal cookbook, encyclopedia, dictionary, and grimoire. It relates specifically to today's young adults and their concerns, yet is grounded in the magickal work of centuries past.
Information is arranged alphabetically and divided into five distinct categories: (1) Shadows of Religion and Mystery, (2) Shadows of Objects, (3) Shadows of Expertise and Proficiency, (4) Shadows of Magick and Enchantment, and (5) Shadows of Daily Life. It is organized so readers can skip over the parts they already know, or read each section in alphabetical order. |

Come on, you know you'd look glamorous and powerful in black...that lighting candles and calling spirits would give you an aura of mystery...that life would be better if only you could turn your history teacher into a jiggling mound of orange (or maybe lime) Jell-O. Well, this book is here to tell you that wearing black clothing and threatening people with hexes and curses won't make you a Witch. In fact, neither will joining a coven or being initiated. What Teen Witch will show you is that how you live, how you deal with others, and how you incorporate Wiccan laws into your life determines whether or not you are a true Witch. This handbook presents everything from the Wiccan principles of belief, traditions, symbols, holidays and rituals, to spells for homework and dating.

Discover the real sources of many of the traditions, beliefs, and techniques of modern Witchcraft! And what author Raven Grimassi reveals in Hereditary Witchcraft is the documented ancient roots of the Old Religion.
One-by-one, Grimassi goes through the tenets of Witchcraft and shows their ancient sources. The association of the pentagram with Witchcraft goes back at least 2,500 years. The idea of the four elements goes back to a philosopher named Empedocles of Sicily in around 475 B.C.E. The practice of many covens today of having a Priestess, Priest, and Maiden can be traced back over 2,000 years to ancient Pompeii.
This book is filled with history, myth, and folklore. But it is also filled with rituals and techniques that you can do. On these pages you will learn how to prepare and banish a magic circle. You'll learn rituals you can do by yourself, including those for the Solstices, Diana's Day, and Cornucopia. With this information you can become a follower of the Old Ways! |

POWER OF THE WITCH: The Earth, The Moon & The Magical Path To Enlightenment
Power Of The Witch
by Laurie Cabot
Tom Cowan
Certain things are everlasting. Magic is one of them. Magic belongs to no one culture, society, or tribe-0 it is part of the universal wisdom. To me the word witch is a delicious word, filled with the most ancient memories that go back to our earliest ancestors, who lived close to natural cycles and understood and appreciated the power and energy that we share with the cosmos. The word witch can stir these memories and feelings even inthe most skeptical mind.- Laurie Cabot. |
